Power Transformer — Component Overview

This is the non-3D accessible version of the Transformer Lab.

  1. External Accessories — conservator, Buchholz relay, surge arresters
  2. Cooling System — radiator banks and fans (ONAN/ONAF). Oil pumps only if an OFAF rating is specified
  3. HV Bushings — 132 kV condenser-graded bushings, bushing CTs
  4. LV Bushings — 33 kV porcelain bushings, neutral bushing
  5. Tank — welded plate tank, cover, pressure-relief valves
  6. Active Part — core + windings + insulation assembly
  7. OLTC — on-load tap-changer and motor drive
  8. Clamping Structure — top yoke, tie rods, clamping frames
  9. Tapping Winding — outermost regulating winding
  10. HV Winding — 132 kV continuous disc winding
  11. Insulation Barriers — pressboard cylinders, HV–LV barrier
  12. LV Winding — 33 kV helical CTC winding
  13. Core — three-limb Hi-B CRGO core, limbs and bottom yoke
