Power Transformer — Component Overview
This is the non-3D accessible version of the Transformer Lab.
- External Accessories — conservator, Buchholz relay, surge arresters
- Cooling System — radiator banks and fans (ONAN/ONAF). Oil pumps only if an OFAF rating is specified
- HV Bushings — 132 kV condenser-graded bushings, bushing CTs
- LV Bushings — 33 kV porcelain bushings, neutral bushing
- Tank — welded plate tank, cover, pressure-relief valves
- Active Part — core + windings + insulation assembly
- OLTC — on-load tap-changer and motor drive
- Clamping Structure — top yoke, tie rods, clamping frames
- Tapping Winding — outermost regulating winding
- HV Winding — 132 kV continuous disc winding
- Insulation Barriers — pressboard cylinders, HV–LV barrier
- LV Winding — 33 kV helical CTC winding
- Core — three-limb Hi-B CRGO core, limbs and bottom yoke
